On VMs running Red Hat or Centos 6.8 or 6.9, licensing intermittently fails with messages in logs about dbus segfault, gridd segfault,  or nvidia-gridd service exited with error status (1)   and the gridd service cannot be started manually.

1) Edit /etc/nvidia/gridd.conf and set EnableUI=FALSE

2) Restart nvidia-gridd service OR restart the system.

3) Check if license is acquired successfully by checking the system logs as shown below

[nvidia@localhost ~]$ sudo grep gridd /var/log/messages

Aug 5 15:40:06 localhost nvidia-gridd: Started (4293)
Aug 5 15:40:24 localhost nvidia-gridd: License acquired successfully.
